ALAND’s The Gladstone Village reaches new heights
Leading Developer Builder ALAND has celebrated the ‘topping out’ of its first stage at The Gladstone Village – an $800 Million master planned precinct – located in Merrylands, 10 minutes from Parramatta CBD.
The first development of its kind in Merrylands, and one of the last remaining pockets along Sydney’s rail network to be developed, The Gladstone Village is set to deliver an estimated 4,200sqm of open space with over 1,000 residential apartments proposed across multiple buildings and 4,000sqm of retail space.
The topping out ceremony marks the completion of the highest point of Stage 1, known as ‘Quartz’, made up of three buildings up to 20 storeys in height. This is the first of three stages to be delivered at 224-240 Pitt Street, Merrylands.
ALAND celebrated this significant milestone with a casual rooftop barbecue – their version of a topping-out ceremony.
ALAND Chief Executive Officer George Tadrosse praised the team for achieving this milestone 9 months after construction commenced.
“Reaching the highest point of a new building is always a big moment and creating a building such as Quartz is hugely ambitious, it can only be achieved thanks to the efforts of so many talented people,” said Mr Tadrosse.
“This exciting milestone brings us a step closer to delivering Merrylands’ transformational residential precinct, which will bring a new vibrancy to its CBD.”
Merrylands sits within an ever-growing pocket of Greater Western Sydney that is due to receive $4.4 billion in government infrastructure investment over the next ten years.
“We see this as a place for residents, locals and visitors to come together in a space that feels like their own. Those who have purchased at The Gladstone Village have not just bought a home – they have bought into a new community, embraced our vision and see the long-term benefits of owning an apartment in the fast-growing Merrylands CBD.”
ALAND’s project pipeline has more than 1,300 apartments under construction this year in key Sydney and NSW regional growth areas with 652 apartments expected to be completed in the second half of 2023, and a further 6,500 homes in the planning and approval stages.
ALAND Founder and Director Andrew Hrsto said The Gladstone Village contributes to ALAND’s project pipeline which responds to the demand for quality residences and amenities in well-connected, future-growth centres.
“Our expert team continue to analyse market trends and emerging needs to shape our development pipeline, ensuring our projects remain at the forefront of innovation and cater to the evolving expectations of residents,” says Mr Hrsto.
“The Gladstone Village is a leading example of an outstanding ALAND product that not only meets the demand for quality inexpensive residences but will also contribute to the economic and social progress of the area.”
With architecture and interiors by ALAND’s in-house design team, Quartz comprises 365 apartments, with a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences along with a ground floor central communal space plus rooftop areas with a swimming pool, terrace and barbecue with picnic/seating area.
Stages two and three of The Gladstone Village include a mix of retail, residential and commercial surrounding 4,200sqm of internal parkland and civic space.
Buyers should act quickly as the final release of apartments are selling fast. Interested parties can visit The Gladstone Village display suite, located at 4 Terminal Place, Merrylands. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
