How Ruth Found Her Dream Home
Earlier this year Ruth Crilly was looking to downsize and move closer to her daughter and grandson in Oxley Park when she came across Carson on the Park in St Marys, then nearing completion.
Luckily, a two-bedroom apartment at the ALAND development has just become available, but she had to act quickly before the opportunity vanished – Carson on the Park was perfect for herself and dog Tilly.
“I decided to purchase here at Carson on the Park because I love the St Marys location. It’s close to family and friends,” she said. “St Marys offers very easy access to the city and the mountains and has wonderful facilities for families.”
Ruth, an executive assistant at a Sydney university, was particularly impressed by the size of her two-bedroom ALAND apartment, its high-quality fittings and the excellent workmanship.
“What stood out about Carson on the Park was its perfect location, but also the generous size of the living areas and the quality of the actual build and the fittings and fixtures,” she said.
“I love the fact that the bathroom has a bathtub, and the balcony is big. Another thing I really like is that I’m close to parks where I can walk my dog and I am walking distance from shops and restaurants”.
The development’s proximity to a major rail station was another big selling point – cutting Ruth’s daily commuting time to under an hour. “It’s very easy to get to work,” she said. “I am only a 10-minute walk from St Marys train station, and it only takes about 50 minutes to commute into the city, which is a great commute for me.”

Ruth says she only managed to secure her sixth-floor apartment at the 11th hour when another buyer was not able to complete their purchase.
“I was really lucky because someone had just pulled out of the last two-bedroom apartment,” she said.
“Emily, the ALAND sales agent, got back to me and arranged for a meeting at very short notice, which was very kind of her, otherwise I would have missed out on the apartment.”
With prices ranging from $495,000 for a one-bedroom apartment to $722,500 for a three-bedroom apartment, the project has attracted interest from buyers across Sydney, and beyond.
The majority of apartments have been snapped up by owner-occupiers, like Ruth, with a smaller percentage being purchased by investors.

“I also believe that Carson will eventually be a great investment.”
After settlement Ruth was able to move into her brand-new Carson on the Park apartment within a few week – a process which she describes smooth, professional and hassle-free.
