ALAND is number one Movember supporter in Australia with over $110,000 raised and counting
Leading Sydney developer ALAND has spearheaded the Movember 2023 Australian fundraising campaign, raising over $110,000 to support men’s health initiatives.
Movember is an annual event typically involving growing a moustache or choosing another challenge during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s mental health issues and transform the way health services reach and support men.
ALAND’s initial fundraising goal of $50,000 was smashed, with $40,000 raised in the last 24 hours, thanks to the generous support of the ALAND community including staff, family, consultants, contractors and official partners of Movember.
ALAND CEO George Tadrosse said he is thrilled with the amount raised, particularly as he committed to shaving his beard if they reached their fundraising goal.
“Although I am parting with my beard, which I have had for almost ten years, I am thrilled to see the act raise an incredible amount of money for a cause that is close to our hearts,” said Mr Tadrosse.
“We are proud to support a fantastic organisation that focuses on improving men’s health more broadly to create generational change and healthier societies.”
Andrew Hrsto, ALAND Founder and Director praised George and the ALAND team for the fundraising efforts, ranking ALAND as first on the Australian Teams leader board and 11th world-wide.
“ALAND’s commitment to raising awareness and funds for men’s health is truly commendable,” said Mr Hrsto.
“Their extraordinary dedication aligns with our mission to challenge the status quo, transform men’s health services and support initiatives to combat these prevalent health challenges.”
To celebrate the significant achievement, Mr Tadrosse shaved his iconic beard at the ALAND head office in front of ALAND staff, supporters and his family.
