With a career in the construction and property sector that spans more than 20 years, George commenced with ALAND in 2012 and was appointed to the role of CEO in 2019.
George commenced with ALAND as a construction manager and was asked to lead operations just 7 years later – an achievement that he attributes to attitude, resilience and hard work. George looks at life skills as a critical element of success, rather than focusing solely on technical know-how.
George’s leadership style is based on agility, understanding that change can occur quickly and that teams need to be able to adjust. He encourages open communication among team members and believes it is key in delivering for ALAND.
George is committed to working collaboratively with government, industry and communities to ensure that housing needs are met. He has identified a range of initiatives to close the gap between government and industry, including increased funding for affordable housing projects, improved public-private partnerships and closer engagement in policy development. George understands that these initiatives need to be carefully managed if they are to benefit everyone involved.
Extremely proud of the work that ALAND delivers, George’s vision for the next decade is to look at new ways to deliver housing which exceeds customer expectations, while maintaining a high level of integrity and respect for ALAND’s core values.
George strives to remain at the forefront of innovation as well as embracing new technologies with enthusiasm, anticipating future trends and changes in customer needs.
